We respect copyright and act on valid notices quickly. This page explains what is on NinjaClips, so you can tell us precisely what to look at, and what happens after you write to us.
What is on NinjaClips
- The index. A reference of anime characters with rankings, tags and descriptions, alongside links to edits and images published by their creators on other platforms. Where a thumbnail appears next to a link, it is served by that platform. We do not host anime footage.
- Marketplace listings. Editing materials that sellers created themselves. Sellers confirm they hold the rights when they list.
- Files submitted to the scene tools. These are private to the account that submitted them. They are not published, not listed, and not visible to anyone else.
Sending a notice
Email [email protected]with the subject line “Copyright notice” and include:
- your full name and contact details, and the rights holder you represent if that is not you;
- identification of the work you own;
- the exact NinjaClips URL or URLs of the material to remove;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent, or the law;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are authorised to act for the rights holder;
- your electronic or physical signature.
Please include the URLs. A notice naming a work but no location takes far longer to action, because we have to find it first.
What we do
We operate a notice-and-takedown process and aim to action valid notices within a few business days, usually faster. Depending on what the notice concerns:
- An index entry is removed, and the link stops being shown. We also re-check whether indexed work is still available where it was published, and mirror removals automatically.
- A marketplace listingis removed, the buyer is handled fairly, and the seller's account is actioned.
- An account that repeatedly infringes is terminated.
If your notice concerns material a user submitted privately to the scene tools rather than anything published on NinjaClips, tell us and we will treat it as an account matter and investigate it as such.
Counter-notice
If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, reply to the removal email with a counter-notice stating why, together with your contact details and signature. We will review it and restore the material if the objection is made out.
If you are a creator
If your edit is in the index and you would rather it were not, you do not need a formal notice. Email [email protected], tell us which entry, and we will remove it. No reason required.
Misuse
Notices that are knowingly false waste everyone's time and may carry legal consequences for the sender. We keep a record of notices and counter-notices.
